Flair bartenders/slashers/hotel bartenders sharing their experiences.

Within the bartending industry, there are flair bartenders who showcase their skills through unique performance techniques. Instructor Hide is a leading figure in Hong Kong's flair bartending scene and has previously worked in five-star hotels. This course will guide young learners to understand the actual operation of hotel bars and experience the unique charm of flair bartending.

$220 per person for non-alcoholic cocktail preparation and enjoyment (students aged 14-17)

$270 per person for the preparation and enjoyment of an alcoholic cocktail (all participants must be 18 years of age or older).

Venue and attendance arrangements

$800 transportation fee (out-of-town to school or social enterprise center) Minimum 8 people - Maximum 80 people

$300 venue rental (Jigger Flip Studio, Room 4C, Fuk Sing Factory Building, 2 Hock To Street, Tai Kok Tsui). Minimum 8 people - maximum 20 people.

1. Working Time Characteristics

The working hours of a hotel flair bartender:

- Performance times: Mainly from 6 pm to 11 pm

- Preparation time: Arrive 2 hours in advance each day for practice and preparation.

- Special events: Extended working hours required to accommodate hotel banquets and festivals.

- Training schedule: New skills will be practiced at fixed times each week.

2. Basic work content

The core responsibilities of a hotel flair bartender:

- Performance skills: Master basic bottle handling and visual effects in bartending.

- Beverage Knowledge: Familiar with the preparation methods of classic cocktails and creative specialty drinks.

- Customer interaction: Maintain good interaction with guests during the performance.

- Equipment Management: Maintenance and upkeep of professional bartending equipment

- Teamwork: Coordinate event procedures with other departments of the hotel.

3. Industry Characteristics and Challenges

The course will enable participants to understand:

- Physical requirements: Endurance training required for long-duration standing performances

- On-the-spot response: Developing the ability to cope with unexpected situations
